| Bio: | I will be forty-eight years old this year (2008). I live in a state of constant surprise that I'm this decrepit, because inside I still feel forty-three. I am neither happy nor unhappy. I am one of life's neutral people. You'd find it hard to spot me against a magnolia coloured wall. I'm hard pressed to say I love life, but some do, so I guess it's okay if you like that sort of thing. Sometimes I wonder if I'm a Phil Dickian android. But I guess androids don't suffer from chronic prostatitis. Over the last ten years I have gradually become deaf in my left ear and suffered recurrent and debilitating vertigo attacks as well as constant tinnitus. It makes me almost permanently grumpy. It has been diagnosed as Ménière's disease. The American astronaut Alan Shephard had it and you can look it up on Wikipedia. I fondly imagine that I could write a killer blog if only I wasn't so pathologically lazy or self-censoring, but I recently re-visited some of the material I wrote about ten years ago when I was trying to impress, and it is regrettable. Sorry about that. I've been told that self-deprecation is deeply unsexy and should be left to the experts. Which leaves me with no material. These days I keep a Livejournal purely to let my family know that I'm not dead yet. | |
